Baby Allison's First Vacation

Justin and I have returned from the great state of Colorado. We spent spring break in Crested Butte with our friends, Davey and Jordan, and a group from their church. We had a blast! Baby Allison loved the snow and skiing. I did not have any problems with the altitude or exercise. I rested a lot more than I usually do on a ski trip. However, it has been six years since I have skied, so the tiredness could also be attributed to my increase in age!

Our trip back was very eventful. We had two vehicles from the church that we traveled in. On the way down the mountain on the way home on Friday, the bus hit some ice and got stuck in a snow bank! (see above) It took about two hours for the wrecker to arrive and pull it out. Thankfully, there was no damage to the bus and no one was hurt. We arrived safely back at the church around 6 a.m. on Saturday. Justin and I made it to our home around 10 a.m. So we have been re-couping this weekend and getting ready to get back in the groove of the week.
